Georgie Heriot is a 22 year-old actor and theatre maker who got her first in Drama and Performance in the Highlands before coming back to her home base of Auld Reekie. She has been acting at the Fringe almost every year since she was eight.
In FLESH she plays Mary Doherty, Burke and Hare’s last victim and the one whose murder led to the discovery of ‘burking’, the method these two serial killers stumbled upon that left no clear evidence of how their victims had died.
Her favourite character is Anne Grey, our fictitious cub reporter. We portray Anne as young, quick witted and intelligent and, of course, she is one half of the love interest.
Georgie loves big group numbers like ‘Sailing to America’ but thinks that overall the whole production has great songs, humour and dance routines.
She says. ‘If you’re a fan of folksy music, rock and ballad – and of dark humour – you will absolutely love this show!’
